Empathy
Empathy is something that we all treasure in others. It is a trait that we look for in friends, prospective partners, and people with whom we want to surround ourselves. Every day we want others to understand how we feel. At the same time, however, we find that we might not have time to empathize with others. Instead, we sympathize. We say, "I'm sorry. I hope everything goes well" or "It'll all be okay" with complete disregard for what the other individual is feeling. We should care about others. It's simple. If we give genuine interest in the lives of others we might receive a reciprocated effect. Now I'm not trying to say that we should be empathetic for ourselves. I'm saying that we should be empathetic simply because people matter. That's it. Everyone has value; it lies in their thoughts, feelings and actions. We have to care.

Worry
Today I write about worry. Every day we face this great obstacle. We wonder everyday what the future has for us. Sometimes that worry has a positive nature. Will I be a good father? Have I done enough good today? At others, it may have a very negative nature. How will I feed my family today? What if I don't graduate from school? It's questions like these that plague our minds. How do we overcome worry? Well.. we don't. There is absolutely no escaping it. So what do we do about it? I say we embrace it. Worry should be something that empowers us. It is nothing but an initial reaction to stressor. That initial reaction must turn into motivation and drive. Following that--passion. I'm not telling you to not worry. To worry is absolutely natural. All I'm saying is to embrace it and turn it into something great and lasting.

An Introduction
I've found that I have a lot of ideas that I don't usually have the chance to write down. I get busy during the day and when the time comes for me to wind down, I do just that. But I believe that there is more to life than just simply winding down. And that is why I've created this blog. If no one reads it, fine. That's okay. I write for my own peace of mind. I want to remember the things that I've thought and the impressions that I have had throughout the day. That to me is very important. It will help me grow. It will help me learn. It will help me become a better me. That is something that we should all strive to do every day. We should look at ourselves and think "how can I improve myself?" If we can become that self-aware, our perspectives will broaden and our countenance will be humbled.
